What do you do with kids who aren't school age yet during the day when it's so hot in Vegas? Are there many indoor play areas for them? I know it's just too hot to send them outside to play!

When it is really hot, I take my daughter to the playgrounds that have the shade covers over the playground, and bring lots of water.

You might want to try the parks that have the water features. You know, those statues that are really sprinklers?

Here's the listing for all Las Vegas City Parks...you'll need to pick ones closest to you and see if it has a water play area. I know Hills Park and Bruce Trent Park in Summerlin both have water play areas...

We either hang out in our backyard in the pool or go to a park and play in the water features. Another thing my kids love to do is go to the library. Las Vegas has some wonderful libraries. School age or not, most all kids are out of school at the end of May.

Yup - Height of the July afternoon. 8 kids and three dogs building bike jumping courses in a vacant lot. Trained though. Most put their helmets on when jumping.

And it is 110 degrees.

My kids play soccer ALL summer and when I ask them to do anything outside they reply with "it's tooooo hooooot!!!" yet they can run around the soccer field no problem They can't even skim the pool cause the concrete burns their poor little toes... I say put on a pair of flip flops and get out there like I do!!!!
