Good luck! Hope you don't get my kids or you will need a drink. J/K LOL. Have a good day!

BTW what are the requirements for subbing(teacher/aide)? I suppose if I am smart enough to be a sub I am smart enough to find the link myself on the CCSD site. Our old district had a once-a-year workshop in Sept for subs and if you did not make it, you could not get put on the sub list. This was in addition to the job requirements, like 60 university credits, or higher, etc...

I have heard conflicting reports on how much work a sub can get in Las Vegas. I have heard it isnt a problem to get work 3-4 times a week, other times ive heard dont expect to get work at all for a year because teachers do not know you. I understand that part, because some teachers already use subs they have used in the past.

Is it possible for someone new to Las Vegas with a sub license get work 3-4 times a week after establishing myself for a couple months??

I couldn't get past the interview. I've been certified in AZ since 1996, and my expertise is Math(s). I'd rather drive a garbage truck than work for CCSD.

That bad? I remember back in the early 90s they had so many apps they didn't know where to keep them all. I guess those days are over? FYI state tech high schools here pay $155 day.

I was hoping someone could tell me who I need to contact once I have received my substitute license? I was told I need to go to an orientation.

Default Lesson plans

I have substituted many times in various Clark County high schools.

I have seldom found, (maybe never) found a bona fide lesson plan.

Usually the plan is a puzzled to be filled out by students. It is a plan but not really a
lesson.

I have the found the advanced or magnet programs to be excellent in most cases but
the run of the mill classes are usually terrible. So I am very careful now as to just which jobs I will
take. And there are some schools that I avoid at all costs. Be careful!!!
Check with other subs - you can find out which assignments and schools to avoid.
