If I opt into this, is the price they're showing now going to be the price from here on out or could it change? Please advise guys. Thanks so much.

You should call them just to make sure. I made a similar post and was told that if you end up spending more, then they bill you for that (so long as it's over a certain amount, say $100).... Hopefully someone else can provide you with a more useful answer on this forum.

My situation was a little trickier though, because I was on time of use and for sure the rate they quoted on Equal Pay was wrong.

After the 6 month/12 month period, you are responsible for overage balance that can be settled at once or applied to future bills. If you have months that go under, that's a credit/money back.

It may help people who are on a small budget every mongh, but if you're someone who can afford your utility bills without sweat, it's probably not worth it.

I just called them.

These programs would probably be good for me but I never sign up. I always think I would do mad impulsive things like set the AC at a comfortable level and just leave it there.

I love the average monthly billing - takes the pain out of huge summer bills.

My only complaint is when they readjust the amount of the average monthly bill every 6 months or so, the amount changes - sometimes a lot. In my case it went from $61.00 to $83.00 to $56.00 to $31.00 (for an entire year) and now it's $51.00.

Still the program makes budgeting easier.

I'm always hot and between me, the kids and the dog my ac runs full force all during the hot months. I've always been on level billing and can't imagine having to have to skimp on the ac in the summer. Right now, it's 114 in Henderson!

It re-adjusts so if you are start using more energy then you will end-up paying more. If you use, then less. I believe they average the past 12 months. Don't do the equal payment plan and change your AC habits (lowering the temp) because then you're bill will re-adjusts and show the difference. Don't change your energy usage habits
