No kidding. I also would not do business with them.

I used Nippon auto works for my Acura timing belt. Highly recommend him. One man show, but he knows his stuff. Prices are super reasonable. If you trust reviews, his are all good.

Called Dave at Nippon and he seems to know his trade and prices are right in line. Going to give him a tryout with this suspension job.

Went down to Nippon auto this morning. Dave took the time to look things over and took it for a spin to check things out. Ended up leaving my vehicle with him along with the parts. Thanks Nitro for pointing me in the right direction.

Seven hour job to rebuild the front and back suspension. $600 total for labor and more parts I did not get. It needed the rear trail arm bushings replaced also. A $50 part. Boss wanted $750 from what I requested through email. Spent around 1K already for parts from Rock Auto. The struts KYB preloaded struts along with mounts and boots. The control arms with ball joints bushings, stabilizer bars, sway bars and tie rods are Proforged line. Should get me another 100K miles trouble free on the suspension side after the alignment is done.

I do enjoy all this. When my brother and I were teenagers we could change the transmission in a 49/50 Ford in an hour. Including the drive to the junk yard to swap it.

Since then however I have matured or aged and would consider changing anything past windshield wipers past my skill level...Actually thinking about it the last wipers were done by a clerk at the parts store.

I have used Dr. Auto on Craig Road just west of Rancho. They have been regular and repeatable and trustworthy. A couple of times they have gone to heroic mode. Replaced an engine in an elderly north NV friends Subaru in a few days. Worked through Saturday to get it done. That ancient vehicle continues to perform well.

So if you consider you car an appliance I recommend Dr. Auto.
