How many people left Vegas or moved out of Vegas? I have come across alot of people weekly that have been moving out of Vegas within 1 year. I meet at least 10 of them within a 4 moth time period. Are you one of them? Why did you move out of Las Vegas? I want to move to Vegas, but there is some really chilling stories I hear about it. Plus do not give me "It is Vegas baby slogan"

I want to move to Vegas but I have found some stunning discouraging things about it. I still planning to move there but I just have to accept the facts.

I had a realiable source that many of the residents there are very careless. She told me that many people there gamble away their home, family and kids. She was not kidding. She told me many people move there where doing drugs, stealing, gambled away everything. She told me even great proffesion jobs like Doctors and Police are horrible trained. She told me she knew alot of doctors gamble away everything and where very careless. Can you say biggest Hepetisis C exposure ever? She told me Police are horrible. I always read stories of people getting shot in Vegas area by Police. I could not believe until I read the Henderson Murder of that Albanian Ice cream lady by Polcie.

I hear there is a really hidden crime problem. Crystal Meth Addicts roam the night in the dark and rob and steal everything at night. When I was in Las Vegas on business, I went to a 24 hour Super Walmart pass Midnight. I was stunned to see some of the people walking in there. Go to google and type "Crystal Meth" then view the Google pictures by pressing the "Images"tab. I swear to god, it seems everyone in there looked like a crystal Meth addict.

THis is just a few sample I have time to share with many of you. If you have moved out of vegas, please let me know why??? I really do want to move there! I just want the plain facts. When I was there, I was overjoyed and it was a place for me.

You can certainly find plenty of people in Vegas that fit all of the descriptions you've listed above. You can also find plenty of people who don't fit those descriptions.

And what do you expect when you go to Walmart at 2 in the morning? Most normal people are asleep.....lol.

I'm a Californian. I don't live in LV, but know of people who do. I see three camps: (1) those that went and left rather quickly because it was a "poor fit"...usually too clean-cut and "wholesome" for the overall atmosphere, (2) those that went that are "in denial" because they have a nice home, have not found their way socially in LV and probably never will, but they belong in CA, or maybe just not there, and (3) those for whom LV works fine...that is, they "can roll" with the tackiness....a lot of that group came from the Inland Empire and similar places in CA, so it wasn't such a shock to their systems.

Let's face it, there are nice areas there and you could shield yourself from a lot of the crap, but LV is a "hard town," attracting a lot of not-so-nice people.

Oh, so you mentioned the Albanian Ice Cream Lady who charged police? You mentioned the Crystal Meth Addicts in Wal-Mart and those that roam the streets looking for YOU? You mentioned the people who LOOK like Crystal Meth addicts? You mentioned Hepatitis C? You mentioned the horribly trained doctors and police? You mentioned getting shot by the Police? You mentioned all of us that gamble away our homes/kids/husbands/wives/grandchildren/dogs/cats/parakeets/rocks in our yard/garbage pails and the like?..

And you still want to move here?

Now YOU tell us why?????

Best advice...listen to all you've heard and stay where you are.

Give us a break!

agreed....if you can't make up your mind for yourself and rely heavily on what people (in this case a nameless 'reliable' source) fill your head with, any big city (and the resident negative elements) will be happy to make it up for you. if you can't think for yourself, LV will be happy to think for you...and if that is the case i want in on some of the action....i will sell you a lucky rock for your gambling and a protective stick to keep the cops from shooting you

my guess is that the OP is along the line of the 'robbed at gun point' persona...just popping in to throw around some crap. otherwise the post doesn't really make sense...unless the person is simply trolling for negative posts.

*and i refuse to vote above poll

hey Jim...how much u wanting for that lucky rock?

I moved to and away from Vegas but there wasn't an option listed that fit my situation. I move to there because my husband (now ex) was stationed there in the Air Force and we moved when he left the service.

well....going rate depends on the size of the rock you want (the rock's size is proportional to the luck it brings....i personally carry around a set of boulders )

but since you are very nice, i am willing to cut you a deal

Madman, if you listen to negative people spouting off the worst of every city they've ever lived in, you will never go anywhere in life. Let their stories roll in one ear and out the other and make up your own mind.
If all of our streets were being roamed on a nightly basis by meth addicts(think night of the living dead) we wouldn't all be living here, we would all be long gone. lol I would be first out of here.
Make up your own mind. Las Vegas is not for everyone. It is just a city like any other! It has neighborhoods, parks, schools, everything a normal city or town has. Along with it's share of crime like any other city, but less than major cities.
As for people that gamble away their lives in the casino's, they are the one's that move out in droves or jump off buildings to their death because they lost their life savings.
The rest of us "normal" types that live here are not gambling addicts. We can take it or leave it. But it's nice to have the casino's for entertainment when we want it.

And as for robert up above, the "tackiness" you are referring to is most likely the strip and downtown. Like i said, we who live here see beyond all that, and the entertainment of the strip is far removed from our daily lives, and most of us don't even think about it on a daily or weekly basis. Unless one works down there. Otherwise, it's just something that we see from a distance. Makes for pretty night lights.

Its just like any city. You either fit in or you don't. If you have problems where you came from and bring them to Las Vegas or any new city, your still going to have problems. There are people moving here daily and people moving out daily. Some will like it, some are going to love it.
