many people don't know, but when you register to vote the Nevada Secretary of State scrubs your information against multiple databases to verify your identity. So when you go to the polls and simply sign your name (for a match), there's been alot of work done to verify who you are behind the scenes.

I know housewives in California who are coming to be feet-on-the-street working to elect Rosen.

Personally, I'm trying to imagine any likely scenario where I would vote for Rosen, and I can't think of one.

So, this proposal would be much less secure?

You really will believe any theory a Republican puts out there? Proof of status is required to get a clean license. I got a license that says not a federal ID because I didn't know where my SS card was and took my passport. They said sorry can't give you a "clean" license with that. A passport isn't enough! The ID works anyways to get on planes and such, but I'm sure I would be denied voting registration at the DMV. Colorado gave me a license just showing my passport with no drama, Nevada DMV is as ridiculous as it gets for being tough on anything. Even if they had to register people I'm certain they will be very strict on it

NV dmv will be very strict on it? How? Are they currently making illegals raise their right hand and swearing to tell the truth?

You do realize thus is a federal requirement (Real ID act.) If your DL doesn't meet the Real ID requirements, at some point in the not to distant future, you won't be able to use it to get on a plane.

A passport however will get you on an airplane every time. And you do not need a SS card. A W2 or 1099 or printed pay stub also works. I am somewhat surprised that they want this if you have a passport as a passport is absolute proof of citizenship.

Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case. We get folks who move to rural acreage suitable for horses and general "Leave me the heck alone" Nevada lifestyle, and attempt to set up HOAs and prevent people from riding dirtbikes and ATVs.

As far I'm concerned, we should amputate Clark County and give it to California. Make "Eddie World" the new state line.

I haven't had that DL for years now, but thanks for the public service announcement on it.

Simply untrue. Restrictive covenants on horse properties have existed in Clark County for decades. I have seen some older than 50 years. HOAs are common only in developed tracts where they are effectively required.

The trouble with dirt bikes and ATVs is that they operate on public right of way and private property where they are not legal. Nobody gets harassed about them on their own property. They have also gotten to be major nuisances in a couple of places. Like a pack of them riding fast on the equestrian trail around Lone Mountain.

The thing that really changed in the horse properties were they got too expensive. The cowboys and such were priced out and went to Pahrump and such.
