I have a crazy idea. I hope you are sitting down. Start calling apartments and ask.

There are plenty of places you could afford. I just looked really quick and found places on the west side (W of 95) for around $1k with another $4-$500 for deposits. Just search and you will find something.

Personally I would just buy the bare essentials needed to get by. Having a bunch of household stuff will just be a burden and waste of money the next time you decide to move in again with the next one down the road. A bed and computer desk and chair and TV is really all you need when your single and looking.

Why not just rent a room somewhere?

It should be under $500/m with furnishings and electric/cable/internet bills included

If you are set on getting your own place, I would spend as little as possible, mostly buy used stuff from Craigslist or that nellis auction site.

Room rentals have gone up alot also. It would be hard to find a room for rent for $500 fro everrything unless its in gang bang area in NLV or Sunrise.

Rent a furnished room until you stabilize. You should be able to move in for under one thousand.

I have a furnished room in a very nice house for 560.00. Hooray for me!
