you gotta know somebody. I work security off duty at a club on the strip and it is nothing to make 600 a night. I work two nights a week, easy money. But you do have to know someone high up to even get noticed. luckily for me my wife is a concierge who works very closely with the clubs, it's her specialty. People come to her hotel and go directly to her for club reservations. She sends them ALOT of business so the reciprocate by giving me a job there and tons of perks when we go out. My advice to you, get a casino job and start networking right away.

cjs is correct. You have to be Steve Wynns son or something simular.

Some jobs here are held so precious and close that few outsiders will ever even get a look into the inside of casino politics.

Cjski just told you that security makes 600 a night. So about 150K per annum. I have a college student client who is not old enough to serve liquor who declares over 50 grand a year at 30 hours a week serving breakfast and lunch. Cocktail waitresses may well do twice that. In the "in" places three or four times that. I believe the investigation of Pure indicates the door guys are making past half a million.

I work 2 nights a week for about 7 hours a night. 600 is a good night. 300 is a bad night. It is almost impossible to work full time hours at a great club. We have 40 to 50 employees each night and I think 4 to 6 of them are full time. I show up an hour before the doors open and leave when the crowd thins. Some weeks I will work just one night. But most I will work two. Every tip brought into the place is pooled. So our doorman who gets slipped 1k 5 or 6 times a night goes along with the servers who may make 200 to 300 a table and so on. I was tipped 1k just last saturday for moving someone to the front of the restroom line. When pooled, we all took home about 700 for the night. And yes, we declare them to the IRS.

actually Cjski makes $600 twice a week...he makes approximately 1200 a week from his security gig...so that is $1200 a week...there are 52 weeks in a year...so that comes to $62,400 per annum...now is that consistently?...always making at least $600 twice a week...i dont know....

i did hear of the pure investigation...but i dont know if that is frequently how much door/security hosts in nightclubs make...or that is just @ Pure

I would like varying experience...i wonder if Cjski is an officer...he did say "off duty security"...r u an office Cjski...did u have to get your TAM/sheriff cards/etc...r those easy to get? thx

to others feel free to add on.
