Yes, on Good Eats with Alton Brown, he is constantly in the Whole Foods in Marietta, GA. That store is expensive indeed, and my problem seems to be that I always manage to go there when I am hungry!!!

P.S. it's always cocktail time It's usually 5:00 somewhere, right?

One week (months ago) I decided to do my weekly food shopping at Whole Foods. Typical stuff, a few pieces of meat for the week, pasta, produce, canned veggies, bread, cookies, chips, mayo, rice, cheese, some frozen products, nuts, cereal...

My bill was $375.00

Most of the products I bought Mr. MomMom didn't like...either they "tasted like cardboard" or "it's not what you always buy!!!"

I could have spent about $220 for the same shopping at Smiths, or about $180.00 for almost the same shopping at Wal-Mart

Now, I go to Whole Foods only for specialty products..canned fire roasted tomatoes, good apples-pears-plums, cheese, sometimes meats.

I like Sunflower market better for "healthy" stuff, you're right Pink, it's cheaper than Whole Foods.
