I was being facetious because I don't want any more liberals from California messing up my state.

There's really no redeeming qualities of Las Vegas.

My bad. Thought it was obvious. Not your post. Your post was excellent.

My apologies for the foobar.

Greenspun JHS, Del Webb MS, and Coronado HS are all looking for counselors in the Green Valley South area, while SW CTA and Desert Oasis HS are looking for counselors in the SW part of the valley.
Thanks for the info. It's helpful. Yeah, even in my experience within the school district where I've worked for nearly the past 20 years, counseling jobs can be harder to find than teaching jobs since there can be more internal politics, etc. I'll keep looking and trying to learn more about Vegas, though.

1. Huge, huge variety of restaurants at very moderate prices
2. Access to fantastic national parks
3. Mix of big city and small town feels
4. True 24-hour town
5. Low taxes, low housing insurance
6. Generally nice people, most are nicely chatty but not too much
7. Surprisingly large numbers of families raising kids there
8. Access to destinations further afield throughout the West
9, McCarran is a high traffic airport with generally good prices
10. Low traffic compared to where I'm from
11. Seemingly endless variety of entertainment options
12. I personally like the idea of legal cannabis though I'm not a user
13. The area has lots of community events going on and some great community centers
14. Easy access to lots of shopping - Love the Fashion Show Mall ( free parking and on the strip)
15. The Strip is kind of exciting, some of the best people watching anywhere
16. Seems like LV will become more than it is now in future years

8. Access to destinations further afield throughout the West same anywhere
9, McCarran is a high traffic airport with generally good prices if you have Frontier, its irrelevant where from... low prices anywhere
10. Low traffic compared to where I'm from you must be from cali, New York, or south Florida

that is debatable .. my prediction is unless they go back to how it was 10 years ago, the strip will decline..Vegas outpriced itself

these are only my opinions before someone gets hot under the collar....

there are some things that I really really really miss about Vegas compared to where I am now...

the biggest is availability of stores. Costco is 80 miles for me now... Sams Club 30 miles... Apple Store 90 miles..

A lot of your opinions are demonstrably wrong. My area feels like a small town.
Other than walmart, which is a dumb decision on their part, most of Vegas is 24 hours. I do my grocery shopping at 2-4am.
Mccaran is a lot better than most other airports and there are some smoking flight deals because of the deals the casinos have worked out.
Vegas traffic, outside of the strip, is NOTHING. Put 3 million people anywhere else and it's gridlocked.
There's dozens of community events here EVERY day.

the grocery stores in the northwest (where I was) now close at midnight..... I agree mccarran has deals but they are the same as I get now....
what are you defining as community events? im not talking car clubs etc... coffee for cars... im talking city or county festivals, parades, etc....

and I agree on the Walmart closing early, very dumb.... but my wife worked for them for 7 years, they were doing it partly to curb theft.

here, I have 3 Walmarts within 15 minutes, all 24hr..
