Excuse me, are you saying you bought a brand-new 5-series BMW for 31k? If so, please, please tell me where you got it!

It is a 2007, 3200 miles on it. It was a Demo car, never titled, so still new. I bought it in the Auto mall at Desert BMW.

That doesn't sound right. Maybe a 3 series 4 door sedan, but a 5 series would be high 30's low 40's. What is nice about luxury cars like BMW and Mercedes, Jag..etc.. is they loose value quicker than most cars. A 2008 Mercedes S550 is almost 100K, but a 2003 S500 will go for high 20's low 30's. I would never buy brand new unless there was a big rebate or 0% financing to offset the depreciation hit. BMW holds up pretty good, but it all depends on the model.

A new 2008 528i has a base price of 44,300. Did you get a used one or is that a 3 series? If paid 31K for a new 528i, let me know where you stole it from

It was a dealer demo. 2007 model year (so two years old when I bought it, 2009s are here now) It was used but untitled (driven by a dealer). just over 3000 miles on it. 528i. Bought in early 2008 (Christmas present to myself). Asking price, almost 38k. Final price, just under 32k. Desert BMW in Henderson.

I wasn't arguing, I was just looking at some used cars recently and I saw 2004 and 2005's for a very good price (mid 20s). But the new ones were just too expensive. cjski21 got a good deal since his car only has 3K on it and it is a couple of model years old then he made a good choice! Why buy the new one..
