Car and suspect. From our neighborhood watch captain.

The pictures in this e-mail are of a Suspect vehicle and the suspect involved in multiple package thefts throughout the Northwest.

If you see this vehicle, please call 911 to report it and provide the direction you last saw it (if moving).

I get packages daily. I'm sitting by the door just waiting to get em.
But I work for myself so I can be home all day.
If you are ordering something and can't be home, use one of the boxes they have all over.

It was on channel 3 news tonight. That porch pirate. I am so tired of hearing about all these low life thieves taking almost everything from people. Not just here, but all over the U.S. They take packages, they take plants from your front yard, they take just about anything not nailed down. A garden hose even. They even took cremated remains from one of the post office locations. Come on, people, get a job and quit stealing everything. One of these days, someone is going to start shooting them. Just rewards.

The theft division or whatever they call themselves at LVMPD could easily run a sting.

Contact a dozen citizens to volunteer their porch.
Stick up cam (clearly the thieves don't care about cams)
GPS a dozen packages.
Suit up with a delivery truck and uniform (they follow the trucks sometimes).
Jump out and set the package.
Cam records. Package GPS starts moving. Pull over a few blocks away. Match people in vehicle to cam footage. Arrest. Repeat.

How hard is that?

The better version would be exploding dye packs so when the thieves open the package, the dye blasts all over them. Or even better a bag of skunk scent.

Amazon and police and already doing something (in certain cities I suppose)

I've never had a package stolen, but I see it all the time on the Ring (doorbell) neighborhood alerts. So much scum in this city.

If you use Amazon... Get your package delivered to a local drop box. Some of the mailbox rental places will accept package delivery for box renters.

If you do a lot of Amazon (or other) on-line shopping, bolt one of these to your front porch.
