About a week ago it was lightly raining about 6 am when a couple of vechicles tried to involve me in a staged accident at Silverado and Spencer in Henderson. I pulled up behind a car stopped at stop light and then another car pulled up in the lane on my right. It was raining enough that the windshield wipers were on lower speed. The light change and we took off. After about 60 yards the car in front of me slammed on its brakes for no reason. Fortunately, I was able to stop in time.

Someone tried to do this to me twice on the 15 heading towards Primm a couple years ago. The freeway was empty. He would come up behind me, pass me, and slam on his brakes as soon as he got back in my lane. Scared the bejeebers out of me. I was actually shaking.

I did report it and a Highway Patrol person called me back. He said it was pretty common and of course it's an insurance scam. They were glad I had the license number. It was a California plate. They probably couldn't DO anything unless it was caught on camera. But if this driver proceeded to cause an accident, it would come up in the computer that it had been reported before.

That is why I installed Dash Cam for the front and another rear view camera at the back glass. This was because some idiot decided to jump from the median across three lanes on Eastern almost T-boned him but I was very quick to apply full brakes and barely missed him.

I don't know much about dash cam. How much did it cost to have the front and rear done and installed? And are they constantly recording at all times? Are you happy with it?

Silverado Ranch to 215 on Eastern and Rainbow to LV Blvd on Charleston are two hotspots for scumbag drivers.

Check Newegg. They have dash cams on sale all the time.

Got this in an email today.

I have an older version and I like how easy it is to remove when I park.

I have one of these in the back window. It's heavily tinted so I don't remove it when I park.

Installation can be a pain in the butt depending on how handy you are.
