I think I spend that much on Amazon orders every year, so for me, no, I wouldn't be able to do it.

I'm not proud of it, it's a sickness.

You can gamble within reason. It depends on your tastes and tolerances. For instance budgeting just $500 a month you can play two low roller poker tournaments a month, and that’s not even factoring in any wins.

But yeah, no mortgage, no state income tax, and $60k a year? You can live like a king. If you start to feel a money pinch...and you shouldn’t....you can get a part time job for a while.

I'm retired and living on less than 25K annually, if that helps. Excluding health care (which you probably get assistance from your job), I will spend about 14K in 2018. I don't buy meat, so that helps a lot on grocery bills. Fruits and vegetables are incredibly cheap at the Mexican grocery stores (El Super for one). Google it.

As a former DC area resident, it's easy to make ends meet given you don't have state or county taxes which plague the DMV. You also don't have to worry about buying toll transponders like EZ Pass.

You can easily live within your means otherwise comfortably.

Hahaha I love this post. Best post of the month! Iím still laughing like two minutes later. I feel the same though Amazon is always getting spammed with orders from me whether itís gifts or mundane things like protein bars or batteries.

60K a year on Amazon? Go live in another country for 6 months to break that addiction. It will literally pay for itself.
