There are numerous places in the west end of Sun City Summerlin. The upper club house off of Grand Cypress and Thomas Ryan for instance. Or a number of places along Sun City Blvd. Advantage is high elevation...around 3,000 feet and good strip views.

^^^Hahaha you are pushing Summerlin TOO MUCH. The best place to view the fireworks is at Desert Breeze Park in Spring Valley. From the Stratosphere Tower all the way to Mandalay Bay you have a beautiful clear view of the Strip. You can see and HEAR the fireworks from the park and it's definitely closer to the Strip. Just park in the open lot or if you want an even higher vantage point, go to the parking lot on the Strip malls across the street on Durango, particularly by Naked Fish Sushi Restaurant.

There are numerous places on the west side with good views. Many places in Section 4 and 10 can see it from their living rooms. Desert Breeze is a couple of miles closer than the back part of Sun City Summerlin.

But altitude also plays...and the back part of Summerlin is higher than almost anywhere in the SW.
