I don't think Vegas weather matters to Lake Mead, it is all about what happens in Colorado and even then CO needs years of above average snow to start bringing Lake Mead up

Here in the southeast (near Racetrack) the surrounding mountains looked nice this morning with the dusting.

In the north the Las Vegas range was totally covered in snow. What a sight it was! That range almost never gets any snow. It's slowly melting as the day goes on.

Weird to think there are kids who grew up in Vegas and hadn't seen the snow yet potentially. I remember pictures from the Strip back in December 2008 the last time there was any sizable snowfall and people had built these little miniature snowmen on window sills and things like that. It was pretty wild seeing snow on the Strip!

Actually one year there we used our heavily fruited orange tree with the guard toad underneath it and loaded with snow as our Christmas Card. I will go off and see if I can find it in the archives.

Even this Scandinavian blooded Wisconsin boy thought it was cold last night!

Maybe I am turning into a local.

Snowed once when I lived there. I was the only person who could drive. I think it was a Whopping inch!

But even without snow, Vegas can be one COLD darn place in winter.

I wore a virgin wool sweater in bed, use a dawn comforter plus a blanket. Thermostat is set to 65. I am good.

Toughen up. Vegas is in the Mojave desert, not southern Mexico. It's going to occasionally snow once every few years. Maybe you should have researched better before moving there.
