Curious what it costs to register my vehicles when I move there. I am buying a new motor home in a month and will be moving to vegas within a year. Also typical vehicle, motorcycle, old car fees

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

It’s expensive here. I pay $3,500 a year for one car and another car $800. Motor home will be pricey. I have played it honest for years, but I’m considering starting a Montana LLC. Just tired of seeing all these out of State plates and I’m paying through the nose. Good luck and brace yourself.

Very expensive relative to other states. There is a calculator on the DMV NV site. It's based on depreciated value derived from age and original MSRP. Pricey motor homes can be several thousand dollars per year.

I tried that with Ohio. Pulled over multiple times for registration checks You will get fined because you live in Nevada

Montana LLC is a business asset that belongs to the business not to the individual.

I'm guessing a person would then be required to carry commercial auto insurance. Not sure how much additional that costs.

Standard insurance only needed. I have researched the Montana LLC extensively.
Standard insurance, declaring garaged in actual location, insurance will comply and charge premiums at LV rates. NV DL, Montana Plates. Remember the Montana LLC is a business asset not owned by you, but rather the LLC. Plenty of attorneys in Whitefish Montana provide this service.
I have played it straight for years, but the registration fees are abusive and I’m tired of seeing out of State plates when picking up my kids at school year after year.
