I have a negative that means a lot to me, so I'm not fond of the idea of handing it over to a pharmacy photo service and hope that I get it back in several weeks. Can someone recommend a photo lab in the Centennial or Summerlin area?

Highly doubtful in Centennial Hills. You need either a negative/slide scanning service or a pro photo lab. Cashman Photo lab on Polaris might be one place to investigate. You should have prints or scans of your negative's done within a day or so. What format is your negative? 35mm film or slide or something different? You are correct however, don't trust your images to some 18 year old wage slave high school dropout who does not know the difference between an EV factor or an F/Stop.

Thanks for the recommendation.
