ATT and TMO are upgrading like crazy out here. even the 4g towers will see a significant speed increase.

Verizon is still nowhere to be found.

Yeah I live Sahara Jones and att been done with their 5g towers for a couple months. I was thinking my increase in cell speed must be related.

I'm around Charleston/Apple and AT&T still is terrible. Is there a upgrade plan available to view?

Our contract is now officially up with AT&T so if they'll be upgrading something close to me I'd possibly try it out.

Just tested AT&T cell, still running 33-34Mb/s. Faster than the cox I pay for and infinitely more reliable.

Then you should call Cox.

It is impossible for cellular service service to be more reliable than a wired coax service. I doubt your speeds are better, either since you are not comparing 1:1.

Agree Cox owes you a service call. I had similar speeds and kept at them till they got it fixed.

I've had cox out several times and they do nothing except put new ends on coax. How can you guys claim 50yr old buried coax is more reliable than wireless? Buried cable is history, the fools just spent billions burying fiber optic, huge waste of money.

Coax cable does not have a maxium speed -- it's a physical carrier medium. The latest spec approved to run over coax is 40GBase-T/Cat8 which will be able to handle 40GB/s. When I was talking to one of my vendors about 5G, he told me they hope to have it at 10GB/s when it is matures years down the road and operating under ideal conditions.

As for the fools burying cable, what do you think provides the backhaul for the 5G and wireless networks?

You have the exact mentality that has made Amazon the company it is. You should get along well with the guy on this site that makes toner trays.
