Any interesting things to see on a drive towards Area 51. I'm thinking alien themed diners and kitschy souvenir shops. Not looking to get arrested or beamed up, just imagined it might be a fun drive.

There is not much out that way. We went once long ago, it was just a really long drive. And the town of Rachel, NV was super dinky small. Hopefully there are a few more residents there than in the past. And be careful of the boundaries of Area 51. They will get you if you get too close. Don't go alone, take someone or a few someone's with you.

Just pour 10 gallons of gas on the ground and set it on fire. Better use of your time and resources.

The reason Area 51 is where it is is because there's nothing else interesting in that area.

Someone is trying to set up a mass invasion of Area 51. That sounds like it will be fun.

Yeah, what could go wrong?

Steering clear of anything like that, just looking to get out of my rutt and explore.

There's LOTS of desert around Vegas. That's particular piece is probably not the most interesting part.

The area that you can actually get to is so far from the base that you can only see it off in the far distance. The Little A'Le'Inn in Rachel is interesting if you like quirky alien-themed things. It's the only business in Rachel (even the only gas station in town folded years ago). You have to go to Alamo or Tonopah if you need gas.

Nothing like a free training exercise, eh?

I honestly hope the idiots attempt it en masse. I kinda want to see the response. People will soon realize you don't respawn like you do when rushing the military base in GTA.
