The timing on this. There's a beef recall in Nevada because they found metal bits in it. They probably want to move stock while consumers are hesitant to purchase.

Tube hamburger is fine for spaghetti and chilli or hamburger helper type things. For an actual hamburger I use decent stuff.

Strange. It wasn't the tube stuff at my store. As long as you got the 80/20 you could even get the butcher to package it for you direct from the meat case.

Decent stuff would be whole chuck & brisket that you chop up or grind yourself and form loose patties.

Tube anything is nasty. I wouldn't feed that to my dogs.
