So I went with my wife to go see Joe Biden speak at an event. We were invited. The place was packed. I'm not a democrat nor am I a republican but I tend to lean republican, but I like to keep my mind open. My attitude about it is: we need to stop pointing fingers at each other and unite as a country to fix problems.

Overall, we had a good view of the podium. Joe Biden's a pretty cool guy. Very humble. Powerful speaker.
Obviously, he had nothing nice to say about Trump. His speech was focused more on his vision of the country and how we should be moving forward. Less about Trump and more about our country and how we as a leading country should set an example to the entire world. I disagreed with a few points he made but he was a genuinely nice guy. As a leading democrat in the party, I'm curious to see how he maintains himself in the coming months. I know other leading democrats in the party have opposing views on certain issues. If Biden wins the nomination, I'd love to see how he answers questions and debates against Trump.

The one thing I noticed is he, along with other politicians, says what their supporters wants to hear. He uses Trump's vulgar comments on Twitter as an example of how Trump is unfit to exemplify the country. Talked about how he will fight the NRA so that only people who are registered in the system can use guns (but will not prohibit people from using guns). He'll raise corporate tax as well as tax on the wealthy to a certain percentage (38% or something like that) to provide healthcare for everyone.

But seeing him and hearing him speak in person versus reading about him online....my perspective changed a bit. You will never see or hear republicans saying nice things about democrats and vice versa. The last republican who said nice things about a democrat was Senator John McCain. He was pretty diplomatic when he went against Obama.

Now I gotta balance things out and see Trump speak in person.

I'm republican in the sense that I like low taxes and limited government regulation and dislike the idea of blaming the rich people for poor people being poor.

I've never really liked identifying myself with any party though.

The problem is the media spewing so much hate. It’s all of them, not just cnn or fox

Yup.

All I need to know about Joe is in the dozens of videos of him touching kids inappropriately. I don't care if he has the best platform the world has ever seen. I'm not going to support an open pedophile.

I don't think the media have ever been non-partisan, but now they don't pretend.

Gotta go both ways. Trump isn't innocent. He's got his own history with women. People who hate Biden will see his flaws. Same goes with people who hate Trump. At this point, almost every politician is guilty of something. I'll vote for whoever is consistent in their message and can back up their words.

Hehe, the media is entertaining nowadays. Fox has been fair covering democrats on their news sometimes. CNN is just downright pro-democrat. You'd be kinda stupid to say they are fair.

Illegal aliens break immigration laws and are rewarded with free healthcare for life, free education, free food, free housing.

As a US citizen, which laws do I have to break to get all this free stuff too? I seriously want to know.
