The project is not affiliated with the city of Las Vegas and will not be within the city’s jurisdiction, city spokesman Jace Radke told Smart Cities Dive.

Has anyone looked up land parcel records for Bleutech Park Properties, Inc. ownership?

That is so strange that all the articles & even the Bluetech website mention nothing more specific for a location than the "Las Vegas valley."

I'm calling BS on this as of now. I can't find anything else on BleuTech aside from this press release. The REIT was formed last year, cannot find any prior projects and they were able to get land and funding for a 7.5b project? No employees or company on LinkedIn.

Residential/Commercial space, with a modern twist. OK.

How does that create 25,000 jobs??

How in the world does this create permanent manufacturing jobs?? Construction, yes. Temporary.

And "WORKFORCE HOUSING" sounds eerily Socialist. You work, we provide an apartment. Probably give you "credits"
to use at the onsite dry cleaners and chinese takeout.

No thanks.

Nothing on the cisco website, although they are working with cities to become "smart". They've come a long way from making really crappy hardware for cable etc.

10 hour work weeks? That famous Chinese company, Google, has been leaning this way for decades, imprisoned workforce.

Reminds me a lot of the various stadium proposals that came around, some for multi-stadium multi-sport complexes, that were set to break ground imminently but never got built.
