My gf and I are in town next week for a mini vacay and scouting trip . Weíve already done the main scouting trip so this is more a vacay . She has her heart set on hibachi . Initially thought Benihana but was told itís a ď ****ty chainĒ someone recommended Mizumi at Wynn which looks beautiful however for the price Iím worried about the serving sizes of the hibachi and it being worth it . Another place I was told about was haikkadio replant which was about a 25 minute Uber from our hote . Which place do you recommend ? We just want a typical hibachi feast and maybe some sushi

You do realize when a restaurant is incredibly successful, because they are good, then they open another restaurant and another and soon become a chain, right?! It just sounds idiotic to discount every restaurant that’s “a chain,” when that’s the definition of success. I’m not a fan of restaurants so terrible they can barely cling on to a single location and can’t afford to open more because nobody wants what they’re offering at the original location let alone a second one See how silly that would be?

I guess you can cross Morton's and Ruth's Chris off the list, too. I would bet both would blow away Wolfgang, which is also a chain.

Hikari Japanese Steak House

Try this place. I've heard it's good and it's been there a long time. Great Google and Yelp reviews. I am not a fan of this type of food so I've never been but friends say it's great! It's off strip

Sure, that's why all Michelin Star restaurants are chains.

Oh, wait....
