My husband and I are looking to move to Pahrump within the next few months. We want to find a place to stay on a month-to-month basis, if at all possible, while we house hunt. There are hardly any options for that in Pahrump, so I'm asking for input on places to stay in the Las Vegas/Henderson area, since it's only an hour drive to Pahrump. Thank you.

I had good luck here, no problems and got my deposit fully refunded.: https://702housing.com/

Not inexpensive but good location, safe, well maintained, good management company etc.

If you are planning on buying a house in Pahrump, I would hire a really good inspector. There are plenty of foundation issues with houses there. I live there part time and I saw a lot of houses with issues relating to foundations when I was house hunting. Even my insurance agent mentioned it when I was getting my homeowners policy.

Thank you movin1 for the suggestion.

And thank you nitro1320 for the heads up. Is there a reason for the foundation issues there?

If you are still looking for a temporary place to stay, there are a number of suites places that you can rent by the week or the month, no deposits for the room or for utilities and no leases. I stayed at a Budget Suites while my house was being completed.

pahrump instituted stricter building codes in 2005. any homes built prior to 2005 can be subject to wonky construction. homes built outside pahrump do not follow the same building codes. we hired a building inspector when we moved here - it's a wise investment
