Can anyone kindly share their experience with some of the public high schools in Clark County?

For example, two of the public high schools have decent scores on Greatschools.org: Palo Verde HS in Las Vegas has lots of AP courses and a IB program, and also Coronado High in Henderson.

Any pros/cons with said schools above?

Best of the conventional high schools. Best public school is likely the magnet program at Clark. Advanced Tech and the Tech Centers and the college high schools are all also fine. Faith Lutheran and Bishop Gorman are roughly comparable. Meadows is about as good as Clark but expensive.

The next tier of high schools like Green Valley, Arbor View, Centennial etc. are probably fine for a median student.

The school doesn't matter as much as enrolling your child in the most accelerated classes at their school.

I live in Centennial Hills, but my stepdaughter was in the IB program at Valley High School, which is across town. You do not have to live in the catchment area for a school with IB for your child to have access to it.
