next year or after we are putting our house in the NW on the market. Built 2003, 1 story, 4 bedroom, .18 acre with a custom pool already in and solar to boot. I love the house, but we built a new house in Henderson for family reasons and are just holding the NW one for a while since we can afford it to watch prices.

So barring your family reasons, what are your pros and cons of those two areas? Of course, I understand it is your opinion. Just interesting to hear from someone who has lived in both areas. BTW, what is the zip of the NW one? |

Hey, I would like to move to Las Vegas but I need to convince my children. We live in a small town in North West Colorado and my children are a little uneasy going to a big city. They go to a small High School 125 in graduating class it's a charter school. Boy a Junior a daughter freshman and a deaf child boy who will be in 6th. If I can find a good high school that is not real large I might be able to convince them. I'm a dental asst. with about 25 years of experience does anyone know how much they make in Las Vegas? Housing seems to be the easy part any advice would be greatly appreciated

Great post. I thought the same when I was out there looking awhile back. I'm sold on the extreme North and Northwest. As long as my daughter doesn't have to go to Mojave High School!! Now, not a slam there, just not want I am looking for. We looked at Astoria, Richmond American, Ryland, Pulte, etc... Great homes, good prices that are better now (although not by much). My cutoff had been Ann Road but actually prefer the places around the 215 and even further north then that.
Nice to see a positive post ... and good luck with getting that offer accepted. I'm a little envious as I can't wait to get there as well. |

Hi -- I've enjoyed reading your posts. I'll be working in NLV in August and am bringing my family. What are your thoughts on this, and what do you know about the schools? I have a middle school age child, so this is an important factor. Also, what can you tell me about Mojave & Cheyenne H.S. -- do you have a link for rating these?
Thanks for any input! |
