The only community college in Vegas is the College of Southern Nevada. They recently dropped Community from the beginning of their name. The school offers a variety of job training-type programs, associate degree programs and classes that will transfer to a 4-year school like UNLV. There are 3 main campuses and many satellite locations, so it is always easy to get to. Classes are probably around $50 per credit hour or so - about half the cost of UNLV. If you are from out of state, don't admit it on the application because they don't check.

I will continue to drunkenly be the king of providing links to your desired info.
I recently enrolled for summer courses and I must say it has been a pleasant experience so far. As a vet, their Cheyenne campus personnel have handled my paperwork excellently so far. As a brand new student to their campus, everything has gone smoothly. They even evaluated all prior credits from my original college days and my navy days in four weeks. I spent a total of four hours over two visits on campus getting everything organized, registered, and filed. Good luck to you and I hope to see you on campus. [edit] total cost for two 3 credit hour courses (web based so an extra $10 per course) over summer term as a new student was $395 |

I teach at CSN (College of Southern Nevada) and do NOT like teaching there because they have very poor leadership. Believe me. I suggest you to check either UNLV or Nevada State College.

depending on where you live their is a community college in Pahrump (great basin college). A friend of mine goes there because since it is in Nye county (considered rural) they have way more scholarships.
