How about telling him after a nice romantic dinner and movie at home.
I would recommend renting Rosemary's baby

I'd rather not just spoil it over a phone call, with a typical "Honey, I'm pregnant", as I'll be arriving back in Vegas in week or two, where we can look in one another's eyes and make it memorable.
But of course, this leaves so many options for a spot - at the airport, where we first met? At home, over a bubble-bath? Leaving the test on the counter for him to find and faint over? A sunset trip to Red Rock? Some roof-top place?
Whatever it is, I need ideas - preferably as void of cheese and as original as possible (i.e. no gondola ride, or Elvis suits, please)...
Also, places that might not necessarily be near liquor - if I deny a shot, he'll figure it out!

I wouldn't go there. Too many places for you to accidentally fall over a cliff or just disappear all together. I'd call and leave a message on his answering machine, and if he calls back its a go for the Little Chapel of The Stars.

You guys're all too funny. I know it must seem awfully ridiculous, but we behave as if we're married already, in spirit and companionship -- hence my utmost concern with the pregnancy disclosure. I know he will take it well, as we have discussed the possibility before, but I still wish to make it specifically memorable. It just isn't like me to be conventional.
I appreciate all of the ideas...keep 'em coming!

I see flowers floating in the water, candle light, soft music.

Go to Flyaway and while you are floating around the room together say, "Honey, I hope this doesn't hurt our new baby." (I'm sure it won't...probably... And what can he do but keep smiling, he's already flying?)

One of the most romantic spots in town which isn't in town is Lake Las Vegas. There are several excellent restaurants there for a romantic dinner, including a great Italian restaurant which is almost on the water. An evening stroll around the grounds is quiet with several good romantic places to stop and give him the good news. Make sure he's there during the birth too. It's the greatest show on earth. One he'll never forget.

Speaking of flying, you could take him for a hot air balloon ride!
Or you could take him to a baseball game (51s!) and have them flash it on the score board.

Any nice rooftops with skyline views that aren't at packed casinos? Someplace for locals, more quiet...
