Default Recommend Yoga Sanctuary studios

I've taken classes at all the yoga studios in town and I always land up returning to the Yoga Sanctuary studios for a couple of reasons. Top of the list, comparatively the other studios offer very few class choices. The Yoga Sanctuary studios have two classrooms at each of their locations so there are more classes going on all the time. I like all the choices and all the different time slots make things more convenient because my work schedule is forever changing. While I prefer vinyasa flow classes, it's nice to have the option to drop in to an Ashtanga, Anusara or other style occasionally. I also think they have the best teachers in the area ---- Rachael, Shawn, Sherry, Kim to name a few. They're very seasoned teachers and it shows. I personally also prefer the ambiance at the Yoga Sanctuary studios. Airy, pretty, tranquil.

Default My Mini Reviews of Las Vegas studios

I've lived here for 5 years and seen many yoga studios come and go while here. Here's my take on the ones that I've visited, in no particular order -

- It's Yoga - Since it was close to UNLV many college kids attended and it always had an awesome energy. I used to like their Rocket classes because they challenged me. I was sad to hear that It's Yoga is closing at the end of this month (November).

- Bikram - I'm not a big hot yoga person but when I want to sweat I go to Patrice's studios. She has two now, one west and one east. If you go, take with Patrice. She knows her stuff.

- Yoga Sanctuary - I practice mostly here because I work near their west studio and live by their east studio, and I've connected with many of the instructors. Economically a money saver for me because I can use a class package at both studios. Most yogis I know practice here because they like their big class schedule & teachers. Definitely have a loyal following.

- Iyengar - If you're into alignment and like working with yoga props then you might want to check out this place. The space itself isn't real appealing. It's very small and atmosphere is bland, undecorated, but that may not be important to everyone.

- Ki-atsu - Not a fan. Took class there once and disliked it intensely. Small, dark workout space and limited yoga schedule. Teacher was a neophyte and I didn't enjoy the class flow at all. Place has a very strange vibe and I've heard same comment from others who've taken class there.

- In2yoga - Also a very tiny space. In a colonics center which some of my friends found weird. They used to offer many yoga classes but they cut down a lot. Now only a handful each week, mostly Anusara style.

- Body in Balance - Again, a tiny, tiny space with very few yoga classes offered. Their main business is pilates so you'll see lots of pilates equipment and mainly pilates classes on their schedule.

- Blue Sky - I've only been there twice because the location just isn't convenient for me. It's in the downtown area and I don't normally frequent that area. I also prefer a bigger workout space, but that's me.
