Wise chips? Hahahah you are funny! The BBQ wise are the best!
I've lived all up and down the eastern seaboard down thru to Texas, CA...and a pacific island....most of the time I missed food.
But this is the first move I've made and don't miss southern food. The buffets in Vegas are awesome! Where was it.... I think TI has a buffet that is nothing but southern style!

All of the parks in California. Which offers up more variety than Cedar Point. Just a longer drive I'm taking the boys to Sea World this summer and Mapquest says it will take me 5 1/2 hours and according to everyone on here I'm driving at good times so I shouldn't hit too much traffic.

I didn't even think about the amusment parks, guess I've taken them for granted a bit living an hour from Orlando. The hubs works for a Budweiser distributor and we get to Sea World and Busch Gardens 2x a year free, been to Disney countless times. What in the world will we do for fun, probably spend less money checking out the countless outdoor activities Vegas has to offer. I guess for the first year we will be too busy getting acclimated to the new area and making friends to really miss the amusement parks. From my Florida experience Sea World is not worth a 5 1/2 hr drive unless you have kids who are dying to see it but I'm a little biased since I've been there so much in the last 5 years I'm almost sick of it. I hope you're spending more than a day and seeing other things in the area.

Theme Parks in California & Nevada
California Theme Parks, Amusement Parks, Waterparks, and Zoos
I think you'll find that Seaworld in San Diego is much nicer than Seaworld in Florida, plus the weather is so much nicer...a lot more comfortable.
Las Vegas has plenty of rides also, but no major theme park unless you count the Adventuredome at Circus Circus...except both the whole Strip and downtown are theme parks.
Nevada amusement parks and theme park rides- Las Vegas theme parks and amusement park thrill rides in Nevada casinos

We are doing one of those sleepovers in Sea World with our Cub Scout pack. I think we are sleeping with the Manatees. We are pretty excited and we are going to cram a little beach time in before we go to the Park. Mission Beach looks close by.
Another thing I miss are SkyWay burgers and the free kids daycare while you shop in Buehler's grocery store.

Something like a sleepover might very well be worth the long drive, I'm sure we will check out the Sea World there. We went to Orlando SW 3 weeks ago and left early bored, but we don't have kids with us and have been there too many times for it to be fun anymore.
