my roaches dont need access to the garage. they don't drive.

You don’t need coffee or other expensive baits or elaborate traps to catch roaches. A glass jar filled with some liquid and bait does the job. Bananas, beer, sugar, Onions, bacon grease etc. draws them to the glass jar along with the moisture. Cans washed and lined with petroleum jelly will work also.

can someone suggest a treatment for roaches that can be used indoor where pets are present?

I use a Bug powder, that does not kill the roaches, just fills them full of self doubt there in the right place.
