Anyone know about the Courts in Aliante?
Just wondering if anyone knows what this area is like? They look nice on the internet-but I know looks aren't everything, specially on here.
I know the school isn't a good one, but if the area is good and the place is nice, I may consider sending her to a different school.

Kimba, I live in that neighborhood. The townhomes in here are very nice. We have a hoa that makes sure it stays nice, although they can be a pain at times. But overall, it's a nice neighborhood, with a communal pool, a park area by the pool with BBQ grills and picnic tables.

This area is in walking distance to my development. It is very nice, my daughter has a friend that lives in there and the townhomes are gorgeous. Also check to be sure they are zoned for Legacy, some of Aliante is zoned for Shadow Ridge which would be fine.

^That's a good point. Kimba has a HS-aged kid.
Legacy is definitely not a desirable school. Shadow Ridge is a little bit better.
Why, oh why, can't Aliante be zoned for a good high school? It's a shame.

I know. I guess that I just don't understand with all the good people living there why they are so cruddy. Stinks that you have to be wary of a perfectly great area due to schools. If we sent her to private, things would be extremely tight, especially until I got a job. Even then, it seems like moving for a higher pay would go out the window if I have to pay for her schooling due to less desirable schools where I want to move.

Hmmm...that's a tough one.
If all else fails, try zipcode 89117. There are tons of apartments in the area to chose from. I think the zip is mostly zoned for Bonanza HS, which has a pretty good reputation.
