Default Airfare.......

Moved to Vegas and having family come visit - go figure!

Airfare is going up and up, but does anyone know of a place to get really good fares from the eastcoast? RDU and BWI

Also heard some hotels were doing packages so cheap that it's cheaper than airfare alone....did a few searches and can't seem to find that.

Thanks for your help!

Oh, the price I'm trying to beat is $280 round trip.

Take it from someone who does this on a regular basis.. Find the best flight then work on the rooms! If renting a car, sign up for a dollar account, that is at wwwdollar.com. Then go to the website and use code: Tarr. You have to be a dollar card holder to use this or they will ask for travel agent ID.
if you have local Harrah's casino's you play at, call casino services and get a good rate at Bally's or Rio or Harrah's or even Flamingo. Trust me this is cheaper than packages from an ariline or travel agent! The best day to fly out is Wed! The cheaper rates on on Wed. flying out.
Just so you know, what I am saying is for flight out prior to 30 days. Flight out within 30 days is a crap shoot! Good luck and DM if you have questions... I am very good at this.. as we travel to vegas a lot, and will be living there after Aug. 1st!

In my own experience, try Continental. They might even feed you a sandwich during your flight.

I agree. Continental has their main hub in Newark. One always gets the best price when one flies to the main hub of that airline. Not sure where in the east coast you are talking about.

You will not beat $280. It cost me $304 to go to Houston on Continental.

Last I flew to Newark I paid $360 with a ticket purchased over 30 days in advance. And that was before the gas price gouging price increase.

Cough it up on the airline and make it up on the casino. The casinos are hurting badly and are offering all kinds of deals. Dont gamble while you are here either. Save your money.
