Does anyone know anything about Carino's Italian Grill on Durango? I know it's a chain so is it just another Italian wannabe like Olive Garden or Romano's Macaroni Grill?

himalayan cuisine on flamingo (cross street swenson) - great food, many vegetarian and vegan options, really good selection of beer and wine.

komol (thai - commercial center, near lotus of siam) - while lotus is also a good suggestion, komol is a little more intimate (due to smaller crowds) and has an extensive vegetarian menu.

paymons - always a good choice; plenty of veg option. smoke a hookah in the lounge afterward.

Happiness is a medium rare steak! I had a nice 14oz one at the S Rainbow Memphis Championship BBQ on Tuesday. I had intended to go to Artem with my Russian group, but they were closed that day for some reason.

I don't know of any vegetarian restaurants in these here parts, but you can bet if that's where you go on the first date, there won't be a second.

Favorite American Food Restaurant: Mimi's Cafe (several locations, but, I've actually only been to the one in Henderson, If I remember it's on Stephanie and warm springs), also Claim Jumper, Yard House

Favorite Italian Restaurant: on the strip: Bartolotto's (Wynn Hotel) or Rao's (Cesar's) <-- if you are wanting to spend big $$; otherwise Nora's on West Flamingo @ Jones. Hands down.

Favorite Steak House: Mon Ami Gabi - yes it's sorta French, but the steak is AMAZING!

Favorite Mexican Restaurant: Macayo or Agave for a sit-down meal. Amigos Tacos on S. Durango for take-out (best carne asada tacos, IMO. Plus any place that serves Menudo on Sundays is about as authentic as you are going to get!)

Favorite Seafood Restaurant:??

Favorite Chinese Restaurant: believe it or not, I usually just go to China a-GoGo, or Panda Express up on Ft. Apache.

Favorite Sushi Restaurant: haven't found one yet.

Favorite Pub:If I'm staying local, either Mulligan's or Two Aces. But I'm also fond of The Downtown, The Griffin, Brennan's (in the Orleans), and the one across the street from the Orleans (I can't remember the name... help!)

Favorite Ice Cream Parlor: Sugar & Ice (Wynn Hotel)

Favorite Pizza Place: 5 years later, and I'm still looking for a good one!

Others worth mentioning:

Sababa (Mediterranean/Israeli food) **for those that were looking for falafel and schwarma, this place wins hands down! (Corner of Durango and Desert Inn)

Mantra Masala (Indian/Pakastani food) 8530 W. Warm Springs (just east of Durango)

The of course you have your typical, i.e. Buffalo Wild Wings, Putters, JRs,
