steak dinner at Ellis Island
I heard that Ellis Island has a steak dinner for $6.99. If anynone has tried it can you tell me if it was any good. Also where are the best places toeat that will not cost an arm and a leg? Will be in town on Wednesday for a few days.

When I was in Las Vegas last year I did go to Ellis Island and purchased the $6.99 steak dinner.
The dinner was okay, nothing real special. The restaurant and casino was somewhat rundown.
I recommend you go to the Las Vegas forum at the Trip Advisor website.

Most of the off-brand casinos have some sort of $6.99 steak dinner, $2.99 shrimp cocktail or whatever, and in general they're about worth what you pay for them. If you're a fan of quality steak, don't expect to get a great piece of meat at any of these specials- if, on the other hand, you're just looking to eat and get full, they're usually not a bad deal.

The Steak and Shrimp at the Hard Rock hotel (the 7 restaurant) for $7.77 is pretty good. Its not on the menu, so you will have to ask for it.

i've had the ellis island special, it is good, i like their mashed potatoes, they have the same special at the village pub as well...but there is always a long wait at the ellis island...

Ellis Island has pretty good food. And you get free entertainment from the Karaoke bar in the next room. LOL!
