Of course, like anything you get out what you put in lol.....we hired a young lady with a degree in H/R Management from UNLV....if lazy were an Olympic event she would win a Gold Medal.....but the TOP 10% are the ones that get the really good jobs in Las Vegas....

There's no way you're going to want to live in an apartment within walking distance of UNLV. The whole area around UNLV is full of crime and drugs... definitely not an area you want to be in, especially if you're from Norway. Your best bet is to live in the dorms and meet people, plus it's cheaper and you can be involved on campus, etc.

Job offers in the U.S. depend a lot on the reputation of the school that your degree comes from. You'll probably get better job offers if you study economics at a school that is known for it's economics program. UNLV is known for Hotel Management more than anything else for the obvious reason that Las Vegas has more hotel rooms than any other city, and is the most visited place on the planet. UNLV offers degrees in many fields, but as universities go, UNLV is very young and hasn't had time to build a solid reputation like the old schools have. It also suffers from the misconceptions people have of it's location. There are a lot of good schools besides UNLV in this country that have that problem. If you are into the nightlife I would think that would be too distracting to someone studying for a degree and hoping to be taken seriously. But it is safe and UNLV is a pretty good school. I know many people that are doing very well with degrees from UNLV, including my daughter.

Thanks for very good answers!
Well first of all I am very in to poker, I might go pro, but also want to take a degree to be safe, thats the main reason why i want to go to Vegas. And if it is a pretty good school, It is realy tempting.
About the doorms, isent that small rooms, where I have to share a bedroom, and sleep like 5meters away from a Random person I dont know?
