Rock-n-Roll or metal locations
Hey all,
Any rock-n-roll and/or metal locales of note in Vegas? All I've been able to find on the strip is hip hop!

The best venues to see live rock are:
Downtown:
Beauty Bar
Bunkhouse
Jillian's - the only all ages rock venue in town
Art Bar
North Las Vegas:
Cheyenne Saloon - this might be just what you're looking for. Cheyenne and Rancho
There's not much on the strip anymore. Occasionally, there are shows at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay, The Pearl at the Palms, or the Joint at the Hard Rock, but these are usually national touring acts.

Double Down Saloon. More Punk but still should fit in with what you're looking for.

Cheyenne Saloon is a decent place, national acts play there from time to time, dont know what genre of metal you like but some of the nationals that have played there are Hell Yeah, MOD, and Avenger of Blood--wide mix.
theres also Tailspin in Henderson, they are more of a 80's hairband type of place, and seems to be the bar of choice for Metal Church when they are in town

IF you go to Boulder City there's a bar called the Backstop.
There's a bar(formerly shifty's) on Sahara West of Valley View that has bands.
There's a Blues Bar called The Sand Dollar on Polaris off & Spring Mountain Road
Also The Dive Bar on East Trop around Eastern
Tommy Rockers on Industrial

There's one right off the strip that opens on the weekends.
Its on Dean Martin and Hacienda (right next to the Hacienda bridge and I-15), so its right behind the Mandalay Bay. It's called Roxy's or something similar
