One thing I for sure. As the article mentions, cop presense is up. That should deter crime. Maybe it has. Unfortunatly it's in all the wrong areas. Geez a dozen years ago you can go weeks without seeing a cop unless you were on the strip. Now they are hiding on every other corner shooting radiation at us if not bullets.
Because nothing is going on in their particular areas and they need their quota of tickets...not necessarily a bad thing....

Metro currently is running an ad campaign on the radio looking for new recruits. I thought I remember seeing an ad in the paper for the same thing a few weeks ago.

There is currently a class at the NW Area Command Center...I've seen them training (jogging) in the evenings with their patrol car escorted group through Shadow Hills (my rental)...only about 15 cadets in that class, I'm used to seeing 50 or more in this particular class and at this same time in years past.
