Default dermatologist

can anyone help me with a good dermatologist for my 12yr old who is having quite a bit of anxiety about school starting and her face, i went through that in school and i dont want her to have to experience all the names and the low self esteem it caused me. i have tried calling a couple of clinics but they seem to have at least a month of waiting before we can get in for an appt.

I used to go to one @ The Las Vegas Skin and Cancer Clinic down on Rancho between Oakey and Charleston. I don't recall his name.

My wife battled acne for years. One month on a supplement called DIM and it is all gone! Google it, really amazing stuff for your health too. We buy our supplements from vitacost.com for best price. Good luck.

Finding a good dermatologist is important, but it can indeed be a month before you get an appointment.

I suggest you consider taking your daughter in for a clinical facial (deep cleaning, pimple extractions, and chemical peel) at a a reputable spa to clear up any current acne before school. Have it done one week before school starts so redness and peeling aren't a problem. One good thing about Vegas is there are a lot of high-end days spas offering this service.

Clinical facials help tame current outbreaks.

Try Woodson Dematology. I have been seeing Dr. Johnnie Woodson for years and he's terrific. His wife Linda is also a dematologist. They have offices on North Pecos in Henderson and on North Tenaya in Las Vegas.

Default suggestion

Have you tried any acne regimens out there?
I am a personal fan of Murad...

I would personally recommend that and perhaps a modified diet. Lots of water and limited refined sugars.

This is who I go to also. He removed a skin cancer and I'm now getting a chemical peal so that no more of those pop up.

Me too...it was the thing that finally stopped those freakin' sabaceous glands from secreting...altho' the final breakout period on accutane was incredibly intense for me.

I saw an ad in Sunday's magazine for some new product just approved by the FDA. It's a small hand-held thingy (looks the size of an iPod) that delivers some sort of heat pulse directly to the breakout. Anybody know anything about that?
