Active Adult Neighborhood & Not the Elderly Kind
I am relocating to Vegas area and I have been researching neighborhoods in Henderson, and Las Vegas area. I'm in my late 20's with a great job so I'm looking for a nice, safe, "freely active" adult neighborhood (houses around 300k-500k) and I'm not talking about the active elderly neighborhoods. Can anyone provide me with some useful information?
Thank you.

Don't swingers have a website or something? I wouldn't even know how to find an "active adult" community. Sorry.

South Strip. The condos...Manhattan etc. You can easily find suitable housing in the surrounding communities.
Southern Highlands tend towards the younger and strip oriented...the higher end employees tend to live there.
The Silverado Ranch area tends to have younger active folk. Again convenient to those who work on the strip and do well.
There is an active adult community downtown. Basically east of the stratosphere. Gentrifying area.
Most of the other suburbs, including Green Valley and much of Summerlin, will tend more toward a family orientation kiddies and all that.

I actually wanted to get a better idea of neighborhoods to stay away from. My husband and I may be relocating this fall and I'm a little nervous about moving out in that kind of atmosphere if it happens. We currently live in Northwest, IN working in Chicago. We are both very conservative. I've been reading all of the threads and I'm still trying to narrow down to five neighborhoods. We are working with 350k or less and with the housing market, it's hard to find where to look. Any better ideas other than Summerlin and Green Valley?

What the hell is active "elderly"?? I know you don't mean 55+ communities because those people are not considered "elderly" by people who choose their words carefully!
Perhaps you meant "not a rest home"?

Well I googled "active adult communities" and gave me retirement communities. Thanks dynimagelv, that was the kind of answers I was looking for.
