Places to Eat Outside of Vegas Strip
I will be traveling to Vegas in October and would like to know if there are any decent priced meals outside of the Vegas strip as I would like to not have to pay over $30 for a buffet by eating on the strip?
Thank you.

what type of food you looking for? plenty of good to great restaurants not associated w/ the strip.
if you like thai, try lotus of siam or komol. the Himalayan place (himalayan cuisine, i think) on flamigo is good also and they have a great beer selection. florida cafe (cuban food in the downtown area) and paymon's (maryland and flamingo) both good choices.
here is a thread i started a while back: http://www.city-data.com/forum/las-v...8830-food.html might have some helpful stuff. there is a more recent thread on ppl's favorite restaurants....you could pbby search 4 it.

You could check out the Krazy Buffet on West Sahara in between Cimmarron and Buffalo Drive in the Stein Mart Shopping Center if you want to travel around.
Asian buffet, $6.99 for lunch, a couple of fish dishes but not as much as the dinner menu has.
$10.99 for dinner starting at 4PM...and all the hot crab legs you can eat for the dinner menu. Other fishes too, shrimp, clams, mussels, oysters..along with Asian dishes.
Drinks not included, but free refills of anything you order...normal price for dinner here for me and the Mr. (with our drinks...) $26.68 (doesn't include tip)
Excellent food, place is very clean, service is excellent!

For a reasonable lunch, try a sandwich from Capriotti's! Their famous "bobbie" is one of my favorites It's like Turkey Day any day!!! They're all throughout town.
