Default Venetian front desk

I'm moving to vegas soon and i'm hoping to get a job at the front desk of the venetian. How much do they pay, and what kind of backround tests do you need to pass?

Do you have desk experience? Even if you do, good luck getting a job on a major Strip hotel without not only desk experience, but Vegas experience, but Strip experience. They all tend to hire from the inside, and in a lot of cases, you have to have "juice." To put it simply, it's like being Bush. It's not what you know, it's who you know.

By "background tests", have you stayed at the graybar hotel, or do you think that the time is 4:20? In any case, you're going to have to pee in a cup. Unfortunately, there is a big market in detox products here in Vegas. Most smoke shops and tattoo parlors do carry them. I've got no cause to use them, but according to radio ads that I've heard, Vale is the best brand.

A good source for info on jobs at the various hotels is their websites. They'll have all the latest postings listed.

Good luck, kid, you're really going to need it.

Ignore aqualung - he is full of hot air.

The Venetian is waiting to hire you. All you have to do is walk in, fill out a application at the desk and they will hire you on the spot.

Even if you dont have any experience at all, they will train you.

Plus it pays 65k a year and you get weekends off.

And Steve Wynn sends his dealers tips over to share with you.

Welcome to Vegas.

Oi! Just because I'm shaped like a hot air balloon, and I lived in the Napa Valley for 27 years, does not mean that I'm full of hot air.

It might be just me, but the OP sounds young. It's nice to have dreams, but unless you keep your eyes open, and you wits about you, Vegas can chew you up, and spit you out.

Now, I have dreams. Mine usually include handcuffs, a blindfold, lime Jello, Miracle Whip, and...well, you get the idea.
