Default Unlv

Can anyone give me straightforward information on this school? I know I can look online, but most of that info is biased. Has anyone studied there? What did you like and dislike? How about costs? How is their French program?

I know Las Vegas probably isn't the best place to study French but the town is so appealing to me so I'm considering it.

i've heard horror stories about their linguistics/languages program...some classes are only offered every few years and sometimes you have to take one at CSN...

It's not so much the school...it's where the school is located.

Am I right Danny?

Anywhere in Nevada is NOT the place to go to school for a linguistics program...

What about CSN, MomMom? I'd really like to brush up up my languages.

Thanks for the help guys! It is partly about location. I loved visiting Vegas so I was just curious as to whether or not it would be a choice place to study French. Apparently not, but I still like Vegas all the same.

You don't even look the MomMom, my friend!

Well said, even CSN is not the right choice for majoring in French linguistics...

Taking adult education classes for "fun"...that's different, then I think you might be OK if you can find a class somewhere here in the valley.

Everybody LOVES Las Vegas Danny, but remember, it's not the same place to live here, as it was for you on your "party" vacation.

Stay where you are, the schooling for your major is better there...then after you've graduated with your degree...then come to Las Vegas. We'll still be here, love!

I'm not looking to major in linguistics, I just want to brush up on my Russian and Japanese.
