Zeteczx, if you want a place you can jog after dark, try Aliante. Every night I see people out jogging, men and women, people walking their dogs, pushing strollers, families riding bikes, kids on scooters, people walking, etc. This is a very family friendly community. We have 24 miles of inter-connecting trails.
Just be safe and don't go out too late running no matter where you live. Or take a buddy along.

What zip code(s)? I've seen listings in 89107, 89128, and 89108. I think they are really in the City, though. It's a little confusing. Cheers....

Those zip codes look pretty close in to the "main" part of the city. For Summerlin, try 89138, 89135, 89117, 89144, and 89134.

How is the housing market looking? We are thinking of moving to LV due to a job transfer; not sure if we should buy or rent. Thanks!

Hi all I am looking to move to Las Vegas in late June and attend school, I am looking to buy a house. Most of the affordable houses I have found with a short commute are located in the East Las Vegas area (89122 and 89142 zip codes) I was wondering about these areas are they decent areas or not?! I haven't heard a lot of this far east of Las Vegas. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hi. Overall Vegas is very very ghetto compared to the South. You can see for yourself on the lvmpd website.
That shouldn't stop anyone from moving of course. But there's no "safe" area in Vegas as you'll see on the LVMPD website.
If I were you I'd live ON the strip bc atleast there will be a lot of tourists and stuff so it may be a lot harder for people to harm you but then again get this statistic
7 people were murdered within the last 60 days within a one mile radius of Circus Circus. My source? Lvmpd website.
By school do you mean UNLV? check out the 1 mile radius of crimes around UNLV. You Will Be Floored.

What are you prattling about now? The big cities of the south virtually all have large crime problems. Las Vegas and particularly suburban Las Vegas are quite safe in comparison.
The strip is actually rather high crime...though the tourist population is not properly accounted for. One mile of Circus Circus includes some very high crime areas. Close to the worse in LV.
I would also point out that the LVMPD web site is well known for not reporting homicides. So you must have a special site just for the guys who drive Lexuses.

Since you quoted him [lexusdork] I can read it.....[I have him ignored].....that is probably the MOST idiotic statement I have seen come from his fingers.......a total blithering idiot.
