Obviously this will be her 1st birthday celebrated in Vegas away from all our friends and family. I'd like to do something fun & special that won't break the budget, I know that's kind of an oxy-moron lol. She has been begging for a cell phone since before we moved so I am going to get her one, probably a pre-paid. A friend suggested a mini pamper party where someone comes out and gives her and her friends a mani/pedi. I think this is a really cute idea... but I have to see how much it costs. She has a few friends at school but I know I won't be able to let her invite everyone. That's a double edged sword because we all know what will happen when she invites X and not Y.
I kind of wanted to do something more then just she & I but... I'm open to just us too.

Any suggestions??

For 11 year old little girls I would suggest a cosmic bowling party.

Most of our local casinos have SEPARATE entrances to the bowling alleys so you don't have to bring the children traipsing through the casino. Cosmic bowling is usually towards the evening times, around 5:30 or 6 pm until later in the evening.

Flashing disco lights, disco music...it's a lot of fun for kids that age. You can have a party there but it runs about $12.00 -$18.00 (or more) per child for food/drink (pizza/salad/chicken fingers/soda) and the bowling...it depends on what kind of party package you choose.

You can do the old standby...have a girls sleepover at home. Lots of treats, delivery pizza, rent a movie, bake and eat, the mani/pedi thing, fun board games or Twister or Wii (always lots of fun if you have it) It's very cost effective, too. You can even take the girls out for dinner first, something inexpensive like Fagioli's or burgers somewhere, then head to your house for the party fun....

The Adventuredome is expensive and it's always crowded with tourists, so I never brought kids there that young and you have to walk through the casino to get there..the exterior entrance is always locked up....

Chuck E Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza are too childish for them at that age...so those two birthday party places are out.

They might like the Mini-Grand Prix (outdoor smallish amusement park and go carts), but again, it will be on the expensive side...

For my granddaughter's birthday last year, my daughter rented a suite, with great views of the Strip, at the Rio, for a couple of nights. It was very reasonable. Then they just gave out invitations to whoever (whomever?) wanted to drop by and go for a swim and have some cake. It was a leasurely party of folks just dropping by with gifts for two days. They brought their own food in coolers so they didn't have to eat expensive hotel food, and the rooms have small kitchens too. So it didn't cost much and the kids thought they were doing something high classed. My granddaughter is only five and she loves hotels, and she loves hotel pools. Your guests can use the pool there too as nobody stops you from going in, and you're not putting out any money for the guests except for some cake and soft drinks.
