I spent a few days in March looking for an apartment in Summerlin. I liked Morningstar, Broadstone Talavera, and Willowbrook. IIRC they are all in the price range you mentioned, looked clean, and seem to be in nice surrounding areas. Morningstar seemed quiet and some units have built in garages as well. It seemed like it'd be a bit noisier at Broadstone as it's on a major high-traffic street but it's also within walking distance of a shopping center. Willowbrook was also quiet but the model living room didn't look like it had room for my LCD TV, so that was out of the question.

Critters are everywhere - you won't find a 100% bug-free place. Maybe one every once in awhile in a good place.

My suggestion would be to skip the Camden apartments (both complexes off Charleston) and the Breakers off Sahara. They just didn't seem as nice.

I ended up renting a house in the SW though. If you have the cash, you might try this route as it wasn't much more, but beware of renting from a landlord who is in trouble with their mortgage.

p.s. I was also looking for a short-term lease - all of the above places do 3-6 month leases. Not so sure about less than that.

I have not started renting yet but I have decided that Summerlin is way to far for my commute back and fourth to Nellis Air Base. I am going to settle on North Vegas. I have 4 places n mind.

Sedona At Lone Mountain
Craig Ranch Villas
Eagle Trace
The Terrace

Default The Fountains

I live on the outskirts of Summerlin....what they still call NW part of town, pre-Summerlin and my complex offers month-to-month, 3-month lease, 6-month lease, 8-month lease or a year. It has W/D in the unit with the post office and hospital a mile or 2 away; library a little over 2 miles; apartment complex is in walking distance to many restaurants on Lake Mead, a movie theater and Petco on Rainbow. I pay $880 for a 2-bed 2-bath apartment. It's not directly in Summerlin, but it's about a 5 minute drive to get into the Summerlin area. Hope this helps.

Altessa condos are just that condos, they are not apartments! They never will be apartments! You will be moving into a community where the owners will hate you if you rent there! Eventually the builder will sell the units again! Wana take a guess what would happen to your living arrangements? Stay away from altessa!

Hi. Does anybody know of apartments/condo/house for rent in the Summerlin area which are zoned to either the Givens or Staton E.S.? Thanks!

I understand Wellington Meadows has been sold, fired its staff and is going downhill under the new regime. Has anyone heard where the former staffers went? We lived there for four winters and really enjoyed the folks who ran the place.
