Where should I live in Green Valley?
Hi Everyone,
I got a lot of help from you all on my first post and I am hoping you can help me out again. I am moving to Las Vegas and have decided to live around the Green Valley area and am looking for advice on good and bad areas to live. I've heard good things about the area around The District but know its a little expensive to live near.
I am looking for a 2 bedroom condo/apartment to rent (I do not have the cash to buy right now) for between $800-900. I am a 25 year old male, single and do not need to worry about schools or commute.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you!
Mike

you wont find a 2 bedroom by the district at that price...
a really nice inexpensive apartment complex is Aviata at Eastern/Warm Springs, lots of walkable shopping/restaurants/Sunset Park, it is an older area but its still nice, my sister is living there and she has a real nice spacious 2 bedroom...

my 2 bedroom is about $1100 a month at Green Vally and Windmill. The one thing to ask yourself is do you really need a 2 bedroom? I thought I did, but I have way more space than i actually need.

I used to live off of Green Valley and Sunset, actually Green Valley and Ramrod. There are a lot of rentals back in there. Nice little part of town. Its quiet, well... except for the air traffic, which a lot of people get used to. There are condos that they sell and rent called Solevida or something like that. Just do yourself a favor and make sure you rent an upstairs unit! You dont want to live below some pig.

Thanks for the help so far. Ive noticed that $900 won't get me a place in The District but I have seen a few places on Craigslist just north of the district in that price range. I will be working from home, so I will need the extra room for an office. If anyone knows of a good complex in that area please let me know. Thanks!

I recently lived at Aviata. Prices for 2 BR start at >$1000/mo for leases >6 months. More for short term. They might have 1 BRs for 800-900 though. It seemed like a nice enough place (safe, clean) and convenient to the 215 as well.
