easy there, jack.

did you read my post or why i checked out his other threads? do you not agree about having an informed perspective before you run your mouth? (apparently you do not...)

there was no attack on his person aside from the observation that some people just make a habit of only posting negative things (and often they turn out to be trolls). we get a lot of them here.

the only personal attacks in this thread were the ones you just made.

Actually, I made no attack against any person. I cited those who use fallacious arguments contingent on personal attacks are stupid. If you don't do that, then you have no worries about me considering you stupid.

PM me instead of hijacking this thread, bueno?

Restaurants esp. on the Strip are much more expensive than anywhere else. We went to Bouchon in LV and it was about $10 more on everything versus the Bouchon in the Napa Valley. It makes restaurants in other parts of the country seem really affordable. I guess that can be an advantage.

Default Best Day Ever!

My wife and I both were accepted into the union electrical apprenticeship transferring from FL. We will be making 95% more $$ than in FL to start and everything costs the same except your houses are cheaper and maybe your car insurance is more. Anyways we busted our asses to get in, getting the highest grades in our class and soon we'll be reaping the rewards with jobs waiting for us. Just had to share that Vegas is not all bad for everyone. Like a dream for both of us!

I lived in Vegas for 8ish years.. some out in Green Valley, and NW Vegas, and for awhile off of Flamingo/Algonquin. I didn't mind it. I had horses, I spent a lot of time up in the hills. I loved boating out at Lake Meade, we went night fishing there too, that was fun. I did poker runs in airplanes.. I did a little of everything there. I had fun, then found I was ready to move on. Vegas is great if you take the time to find the good stuff.

Right now I'm in Reno, and on a mission to experience everything they have to offer here. So far, so good!

Of course you did. Thinly veiled but absolutely an attack. The allusion was obvious. If you did not mean it as an attack you should have not commented.

And you hijacked the thread with your original attack...and further with your public response.

Shhh... this was the post you were supposed to actually PM to keep us on topic.

It wasn't an attack if you believed the premise of my assertion was false. It was thinly veiled, but rested, possibly, like the initial attack, on a false premise and, therefore, wasn't an attack.

Shhh. PM me next time, I'm subscribed to this thread.

shhh yourself. if you are so interested in not having the thread deviate off course why didn't you PM olecapt or me? nothing in either of your two previous posts has anything to do w/ the OP's initial comment.

maybe you should play by your own rules b4 expecting others to follow them.

but to put the thread back on track: i am going camping 2moro. why? because i live in vegas and it is easy to hop out of town for a quick get away. taking the dogs and heading up to the cedar breaks area. much needed time off after the summer sampling season. and if i leave in the AM on monday, i can still get back in time to put in some hours at work (note i said if )

in my book, you can't over-hype the ability to do that. but that is just me.

Went to Mt. Charleston yesterday. When we left yesterday afternoon, it was 93. By the time we arrived at the ski area 1 hour later, it was a nice 60 degrees and raining. Definately a nice change from the heat.

Then we got back home 1 hour later, sunny and 96.
