My wife and I just moved here from Florida and we are wondering how long it will take for our pores to tighten up, skin to not hurt and sinuses to mellow out. Using saline for sinuses so that helps and coconut oil for our lips. Also wondering how long it might be before we crave so much water?

I'd say just about the same time all the body fungus's you brought with you from Fla. heal up.

Oh I dont know that is all so true. True some get the dry nose and cracked skin on their feet bottoms or under the finger nails but I rarely heard people complain much about it.

Most find that some of their allergies go away in the dry climate but in time other new allergies develop.

You will sweat just as much in LV as you do in Florida. Only difference is when you sweat in LV it evaporates so quickly you never know your sweating. This is one reason people get dehydrated. They dont realize they are losing body fluids so dont replace them.

Dont let the dry stuff scare you.

Just put lots of lotion on. I am at the point were I really only have to do it in the morning and the night. I also carry chapstick with me everywhere. I have two in my purse, one down stairs, and one up stairs. My sinus only bothers me now when the wind is bad. So yes today, I cannot breath out my nose. You will always want the water. Fresh and Easy has great water. Case of 24 is always $2.99, and is one of the best tasting waters in my book.

I've lived in desert climes most of my life. Having dry skin is just normal to me. I never get nosebleeds, but my heels get crackly. A soak in a foot bath clears that right up.
Get a nice moisturizer like Jasons or Kissmyface, something natural preferably that sinks in helping moisturize your face. Winter time is the dryest. Also always carry a small tube of hand cream everywhere you go all winter. You will find out why when you go to open up one of those freezer doors at Costco and get a giant static bolt right through your arm all the way out of your toes. Lots of fun. Even touching cans in the supermarket will get you a shock. Walking across the carpet in the casino and touching a machine will also get you a nice shock. Definitely get and use the hand cream! You will thank me later.
And use a good body lotion like St.Ives. It sinks in like a cream, is inexpensive and is sold almost everywhere. Walmart and Kmart have the best prices on it.
Or use extra virgin coconut oil. Don't use too much though, you might slide away. And last but not least, do as the bully suggests, always have water with you. Especially in the summer!!

...because non-virgin coconut oil may not turn out be coconut oil after all?

Just got some e.v.c.o., hadn't had any since leaving Florida. We make a fudge out of it with honey and coco, it is very tasty, great for you and it wakes you up.

There is way too much magnesium in the water by the way, can feel it's effects especially with our water ionizer. Guess I'll only be drinking ionized water before bed since the Mg relaxes us too much. Have to go buy bottled water now until I can figure out a way to lower the Mg without adding sodium like reverse osmosis does. The white ring around Lake Mead is from magnesium deposits so this must be why it is so damn relaxing there, oh well at least it is good for you!
